KIDS BOOK

                                      BOOKS FOR KIDS READING

The Harry Potter  by J K Rowling

The Harry Potter books describe us as muggles, non magical people who live our lives not knowing the existence of wizards. The books allow us to envision a magical world that we are unable to see. Wizards are usually tolerant and good toward muggles. The book thins the line between real life and fantasy. People love an unlikely hero who isn’t supposed to succeed and one who is an underdog in life. Harry Potter with a scar on his forehead, usually broken glasses, his small skinny frame and lateness about learning the wizard world, is that underdog hero that everyone covets to see. He succeeds in his endeavors because he is enthusiastic, he has a significant amount of courage, and the best friends anyone person could hope to have. He is one of the most courageous characters you will ever read about in a fantasy novel.

Panchatantra books by Vishnu sharma

Panchatantra, is perhaps the oldest collection of Indian Fables still surviving. It is written around 200BC by the great Hindu Scholar Pandit Vishnu Sharma. Panchatantra means "the five books". It is a "Nitishastra" which means book of wise conduct in life. The book is written in the form of simple stories and each story has a moral and philosophical theme which has stood the test of time in modern age of atomic fear and madness. It guides us to attain success in life by understanding human nature. Panchatantra is commonly available in an abridged form written for children.

The Chronicles of Narnia by C S Lewis

The Chronicles of Narnia have transcended the fantasy genre to become part of the canon of classic literature. Each of the seven books is a masterpiece, drawing the reader into a land where magic meets reality, and the result is a fictional world whose scope has fascinated generations. The theme of good versus evil, with good always triumphing, certainly pervades these novels. Aslan, the great lion and deity, is the unambiguous symbol of righteousness. Jadis, or the White Witch, is equally clearly an evil presence. Lewis creates no questioning in the minds of readers as to which behaviors are good and right and which are unequivocally bad. He does, however, create good characters with flaws, characters who grow throughout the series, most notably Edmund and Eustace. While physical ugliness indicates evil in a character, certain personages, such as Jadis, are externally beautiful but wicked inside.

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

The main nutshell of the story , If you have a gumption in your dream then the entire universe helps you to achieve your dream .Santiago is a shepherd. They live in beautiful Andalucía, which attracts tourists to its quaint villages and rolling hills, but for them it is not a place of dreams.Santiago, on the other hand, can read and wants to travel. He goes into town one day to sell some of his flock and encounters a tramp-king and a gypsy woman. They urge him to ‘follow his omens’ and leave the world he knows. The gypsy points him toward the pyramids of Egypt, where she says he will find treasure. the story goes like that..

Alice's adventures in wonderland by Lewis Carroll

Alice in Wonderland is the sort of story that makes you never want to put the book down, and once you have finished, you want to read it again and again, and when you do you feel as if you have forgotten everything that happens in it. Lewis Carroll is one of the only people in history who could do mirror writing Alice in Wonderland is about a girl called Alice who gets bored watching her sister reading. After looking at her sister’s book for pictures, and finding that there aren’t any, she falls asleep, and she dreams that she is in a wonderland. My favourite part is when she plays croquet with flamingos and hedgehogs, because I like this funny idea. I don’t have a least favourite part! In Wonderland she meets a Griffin, a talking mock-turtle who sings ‘turtle soup’, and the Queen of Hearts and a pack of cards .
